Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with La Lionne Limited, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you have any queries, please get in touch with us before ordering.

1. General
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all contracts for the supply of goods by La Lionne Limited ("the Seller") to the Client and take precedence over any other terms the Client may seek to introduce through purchase orders or related documents.
1.2 Any changes to these Terms (including bespoke agreements) will only be valid if confirmed in writing by the Seller.

2. Prices
2.1 Prices outlined in the Seller’s quotations include VAT unless stated otherwise. Shipments will include customs and import charges, unless stated otherwise.
2.2 Quotations are valid for 30 days from issuance unless withdrawn earlier by the Seller.
2.3 Written confirmation of all orders, whether placed online or in-store, will be provided.
2.4 Bespoke items require a non-refundable deposit of 50% before production begins. Standard products must be paid for in full at the time of order. Work will only start once payment or deposit is cleared.
2.5 The final balance must be settled no less than five days before the goods are dispatched.

3. Presentation of Finished Goods
3.1 Due to the artisanal nature and use of natural materials, exact adherence to specifications cannot be guaranteed. Variations in dimensions (up to 6cm) and colour (up to 6%) may occur. Colours shown online may differ slightly due to screen display settings. Clients are encouraged to request colour pom samples before finalising orders.
3.2 Natural characteristics such as piling, shedding, snagging, or indentation may occur and are not considered defects.
3.3 Minor differences in appearance or finish are expected and reflect the craftsmanship of the product.
3.4 The Seller is not liable for damage resulting from unauthorised treatments or cleaning methods applied to the products.

4. Delivery
4.1 While the Seller will endeavour to meet agreed delivery dates, this cannot be guaranteed due to external factors, including material availability or adverse weather conditions. Any anticipated delays will be communicated to the Client.
4.2 Delivery charges will be agreed upon in advance.
4.3 Standard lead times range from 3 weeks to 12 weeks, though larger or complex items may require additional time.
4.4 Goods are delivered via a curb-side service provided by third-party couriers. Premium "white-glove" installation services are available upon request for an additional fee.

5. Title and Risk
5.1 Risk transfers to the Client upon delivery of the goods.
5.2 Ownership of the goods remains with the Seller until full payment for all outstanding amounts has been received.
5.3 Until ownership is transferred, goods must be securely stored and clearly identified as the Seller’s property.
5.4 If the Client becomes insolvent or bankrupt, their right to possess the goods ends.
5.5 The Seller retains the right to access the Client's premises to inspect or repossess goods for which payment has not been made in full.
5.6 All intellectual property rights, including design copyrights, remain the property of the Seller.

6. Acceptance of Goods
6.1 Bespoke items are non-refundable. Faulty goods will be repaired or replaced at the Seller’s discretion. Returned items, where accepted, will incur a 10% restocking fee.
6.2 Unless the Client notifies otherwise, goods are considered accepted 24 hours after delivery. Once accepted, the Client cannot reject the goods for non-conformance.

7. Remedies for the Client
After accepting the goods, the Seller is not liable for any further claims related to the items, except as expressly outlined in these Terms.

8. Third-Party Liability
The Seller is not responsible for any damage or loss caused to third parties due to the goods or their use. The Client agrees to indemnify the Seller against such claims.

9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 The Seller is not liable for delays resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
(a) Natural disasters, floods, or other acts of God;
(b) War, civil unrest, or sabotage;
(c) Government restrictions or regulations;
(d) Labour shortages or industrial disputes;
(e) Equipment failure or power outages.

9.2 If delays exceed three weeks, either party may terminate the contract by providing written notice. No compensation will be owed for losses arising from such cancellation.
9.3 The Seller is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, except in cases of personal injury or death caused by negligence.

10. Website
10.1 While the Seller strives for accuracy, it does not accept liability for errors or omissions on its website.
10.2 Images, descriptions, and specifications on the website are for reference only, as outlined in Clause 3.1.
